| * Winter, 2002 - | Attended Charter Review Commission meetings |
| * March, 2003 - | Campaigned against the half-cent sales tax increase |
| * August, 2003 - | Campaigned against the 10 % utility tax proposal. |
| * October, 2003 - | Initiated charter amendment petition drive for election of county commissioners in single-member districts. |
| * November, 2004 - | Single-member elections passed by 64% |
| * May & June, 2005- | Sponsored two citizens' forums, one with Commissioner McGovern attending to answer citizens' questions. |
| * Fall 2005 and Winter 2006 - | Campaigned against the establishment of a Clay County Transportation

| * Fall 2006 - | Campaigned against the charter proposal to add two at large commissioners. |
